Jhargram: The Junglemahal Swaraj Morcha (JSM), led by Central President Ashoke Mahata, has raised serious concerns over two key issues affecting residents of Jhargram the delay in the construction of the Kadamkanan Road Over Bridge (ROB) and the ongoing irregularities in train services. In a formal email addressed to the General Manager of South Eastern Railway, the organization highlighted the prolonged delay in the sanctioned ROB project at Kadamkanan rail crossing. Despite receiving approval, construction work has yet to begin, leading to heavy traffic congestion and increased safety risks. Daily commuters, students, workers, and even emergency services are facing significant inconvenience due to the absence of the bridge. JSM has urged railway authorities to begin construction immediately and complete the project within a fixed timeframe.Alongside infrastructure concerns, JSM also pointed to frequent delays and irregular schedules of both local and express trains at Jhargram Railway Station. The inconsistency in train operations has been causing ongoing hardship for thousands of passengers, turning it into a major public issue. Speaking on the matter, Ashoke Mahata stated that the people of Jhargram have waited long enough for essential development. He stressed that the Kadamkanan ROB is not just an infrastructure project but a necessity for public safety and smooth daily life. He also called for improved efficiency and punctuality in railway services, urging authorities to act without further delay.JSM has appealed to South Eastern Railway to treat both issues as a priority and take swift, concrete steps in the interest of the general public.
