Monsoon Advances Across India, IMD Issues Rainfall Alerts

The southwest monsoon continued its progress across several parts of India on Saturday, bringing widespread rainfall to southern and western regions. The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy to very heavy showers in states including Kerala, Karnataka, Goa and parts of the Northeast. Authorities have advised residents to remain cautious as thunderstorms, strong winds and localised flooding may occur in vulnerable areas over the next few days.
