FIR Over Coimbatore Explosion Filed By NIA

According to sources, the NIA has opened an investigation into the recent Coimbatore automobile explosion that occurred close to a temple.

After receiving a directive from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, the federal agency charged with investigating terrorism registered the case. The Tamil Nadu Police first reported the incident. The decision to refer the investigation to the national anti-terror agency was made, according to the Tamil Nadu Government, since extraneous to the state considerations and potential foreign ties were involved.

On October 23, 75 kg of explosives were found in Jameesha Mubeen’s home, including potassium nitrate. Jameesha Mubeen, 29, was killed when a gas cylinder burst in the car he was riding in, leaving him dead.
