Drug Accused Deported From UAE Claims He Organised Rave Parties for Film Celebrities and Underworld Links

News Mania Desk / Piyal Chatterjee/ 15th November 2025

A man recently deported from the UAE in connection with a major narcotics case has made sensational allegations, claiming he organised high-end rave parties attended by film celebrities and individuals connected to the underworld, including the nephew of fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim. The accused, identified as Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh — popularly known as “Lavish” — is currently being interrogated by Mumbai’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC).

Shaikh, believed to be a key link in a drug syndicate, reportedly told investigators he helped set up extravagant parties at luxury bungalows in Mumbai’s western suburbs as well as international locations. According to officials, he admitted to supplying drugs at these gatherings and facilitating access for high-profile attendees. Among those he named is Alishah Parkar, Dawood Ibrahim’s nephew, who he claims was present at some of the events.

Authorities say Shaikh’s deportation follows a months-long investigation into a massive narcotics racket responsible for producing and distributing mephedrone on a large scale. The syndicate was exposed after a record seizure of the synthetic drug worth ₹252 crore in Sangli, Maharashtra — one of the biggest hauls recorded in the state. Shaikh is believed to have been instrumental in the operational network of the group, handling coordination and connections between suppliers and elite clients.

Investigators are now examining the list of individuals mentioned by Shaikh and may summon several participants for questioning in the coming days. Officials stress that all claims are being verified and that no names will be disclosed until corroborated with evidence. The revelations have nevertheless sparked renewed concerns about the nexus between narcotics networks, the entertainment industry, and remnants of the underworld.

With the investigation still underway, the ANC is expected to widen its probe, focusing on financial trails, drug distribution channels, and potential links to other states. Authorities have indicated that more arrests could follow as Shaikh’s statements continue to unravel deeper layers of the drug trafficking network.
