Prompt Railway Response Ensures Timely Medical Aid to Injured Passenger at Soro Station

Soro, Odisha : In a swift and coordinated response, railway staff ensured immediate medical assistance to a passenger who sustained injuries after accidentally falling at Soro Railway Station.
The passenger, identified as Hamjala, was travelling by Train No. 22504 Dibrugarh-Kanyakumari Vivek Express, from Kokrajhar, Assam to Palakkad, Keralam. While passing of the train at Soro Railway Station, the passenger reportedly fell from the moving train, resulting in injuries.
On noticing the incident, the on-duty Ticket Checking staff acted promptly and alerted the concerned railway officials. The Station Master, Soro (SMR/SORO) and Commercial Inspector, Baleshwar (CI/BLS) immediately coordinated rescue efforts. With the assistance of on-duty staff, the injured passenger was safely evacuated from the spot and provided initial care.


Subsequently, Ambulance and other arrangements were made to shift the passenger without delay to Soro Hospital for further medical examination and treatment. Railway officials remained actively involved throughout the process, ensuring that there was no delay in providing necessary aid.
The timely intervention and effective coordination among railway staff played a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of the passenger.
Railways once again reiterate its commitment to passenger safety and urge all passengers to exercise caution while boarding, deboarding, or moving near trains and railway premises.
