Ravi Shastri Says Sanju Samson Has Strong Potential to Lead India’s T20 Team

Former India head coach Ravi Shastri has backed Sanju Samson as a future captain of India’s T20I side, saying the wicketkeeper-batter has developed into a strong leadership candidate through his performances and maturity in recent years.

Speaking about India’s evolving white-ball setup, Shastri said Samson has built a “clear case for leadership” because of the calmness and confidence he has displayed both as a player and as captain of Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League.
