The Cheapest Electric Vehicle From Tata
When the BS6 emission standards went into effect in April 2020, Tata Motors stopped selling the Nano small car and the Safari Storme SUV in the nation. Theceapes, which was advertised as the cheapest car in the world, did not succeed in generating volume for the automaker in the nation. In May 2018, the vehicle left the factory.
Engine
A 624cc twin-cylinder petrol engine with 38bhp and 51Nm was available for the tiny hatchback. A 4-speed manual or AMT gearbox was used to transfer power to the rear wheels.
A recent media rumor suggests that the domestic automaker may be thinking about reintroducing the Tata Nano with an electric motor. Significant modifications to the suspension system, tires, and substructure are likely to be made to the Tata Nano EV.
According to the article, if the Tata Nano EV proposal is successful and goes into production, the automaker may renew negotiations with the Tamil Nadu government to buy Ford’s Maraimalainanagar facility. It should be noted that the Tata Nano electric car is not officially confirmed.
