Press and General meet of Bharat Sanskriti Utsav
Indian Culture Festival is one of the traditional cultural festivals of India. Recently the press conference of this festival was held at Calcutta Press Club. The conference was attended by the executive president of this festival and Honorable MLA of the Government of West Bengal Dr. Debashish Kumar, general secretary of the festival, distinguished Tanya Pandit Prosenjit Poddar, along with eminent santoor player Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya, ODC dance guru Paushali Mukherjee, Rabindra Bharti. Dr. Pushpita Mukherjee, the head of the dance department of the university, professor Dr. Gaudiya dance creator. Mahua Mukherjee, Eminent Kathak Dance Guru Madhumita Roy Eminent Tabla Player Pandit Mallar Ghosh Eminent Rabindra Sangeet Artists: Sreekumar Chatterjee many Music and Dance Artist and Teachers.
Festival President Debashish Kumar said, This year marks the 15th year of our festival.
14th to 18th December 2021 at East Burdwan and 23rd December to 30th December 2021 to be held at Satyajit Ray Auditorium Bengal Gallery, ICCR Kolkata till 2022.
In a detailed discussion about the infrastructure of the Festival of Indian Culture, Mr. Poddar said that 2 to 3 auditoriums and Indian music and dance competition will start simultaneously from 9 am in Prabha where about 5000 contestants from the country and abroad will participate this year and classical music and dance competition will start from 6 pm. Dance and dance and various musical performances where every artist as well as budding artists will participate.
Swaminathan Pillai, the convenor of the festival, said that this festival will be similar to previous years
Cash prize for contestants, 1 year merit scholarship, opportunity to perform abroad free of charge etc. if there is an opportunity.
On the last day of the festival, a grand fundraiser along with an award ceremony is organized where meritorious people from different walks of life are conferred with several honors including the “Indian Culture Award”.
On this day, along with the press conference, a general meeting is also organized, where all the artists are discussed about the festival and various issues.
Finally, the leader of Hindustan Art Manic Society, the organizer of the Bharat Culture Festival, Prasenjit Poddar requested the community’s culture-minded people to make the 15th Bharat Culture Festival a success.
