As New Grooming Standards Dictate Hair Gel For Male Crew Members And Foundation For Women, Tata Puts Air India On The Catwalk For Fashion

The Tata group is expanding its involvement in the Indian aviation industry, and it is clear that it intends to eradicate the “chalta hai” attitude from its recently bought and formerly government-owned flag carrier Air India.

The grooming standards for all of its crew members were outlined in a 40-page circular released by Air India on 24 November. Men were instructed to use hair gel, and women were required to use foundation and concealer that matched their skin tones.

Additionally, Air India has mandated that male crew members must apply hair gel and shave every day.

Air India has strictly requested that female crew members adhere to the most recent uniform guidelines.

According to Air India, skin-tone-appropriate foundation and concealers are required.

The most recent regulations state that French manicures and gel nail paint are acceptable with routine refills.

According to the airline, female passengers with grey hair must either leave it uncolored or use a shade card provided by the business.

Tata Group had urged Air India’s cabin crew to wear the least amount of jewelry possible to prevent flight delays after assuming control of the airline in January.

All crew members must promptly follow the aforementioned uniform guidelines, as instructed by Air India. However, airline sources claimed that it is not applicable because it will take time for thousands of crew members to adhere to the most recent regulations.
