India Rebukes Pakistan at UN, Calls It an ‘Organised Factory of Hate’ Over ‘Fitna al-Hindustan’ Reference

India strongly criticised Pakistan at the United Nations after reports emerged that Islamabad had instructed its agencies to use the term “Fitna al-Hindustan” while referring to certain groups. Describing the move as irresponsible and inflammatory, India accused its neighbour of promoting hatred and misinformation through official channels.
Speaking at the UN, India’s Permanent Representative, Ambassador Harish Parvathaneni, said Pakistan had once again attempted to exploit international platforms to advance a divisive agenda. He characterised the country as an “organised factory of hate” and alleged that it had a long history of spreading propaganda aimed at distorting facts and misleading the global community.
The Indian envoy argued that introducing religious terminology into political and security issues was dangerous and counterproductive. According to him, such narratives only deepen mistrust and hinder efforts to foster peace and stability in the region. He maintained that responsible nations should focus on constructive dialogue and tangible action rather than resorting to rhetoric designed to inflame tensions.
Parvathaneni also reiterated India’s longstanding concerns regarding terrorism and cross-border activities. He stated that instead of engaging in campaigns intended to deflect criticism, Pakistan should address issues that have repeatedly drawn international attention. India has consistently maintained that terrorism remains one of the most significant obstacles to lasting peace in South Asia.
The sharp exchange reflects the continuing strain in relations between the two nuclear-armed neighbours. India and Pakistan have frequently used international forums to present competing narratives on matters relating to regional security and diplomatic conduct.
