Rajnath Singh Urges Indian Diaspora in the U.S. to Champion India’s Future

During a recent visit to the United States, India’s Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, delivered a powerful message to the Indian diaspora, highlighting the nation’s rapid development and urging them to play a pivotal role in shaping India’s global image. His visit to the U.S. was part of a four-day tour, during which he met with a delegation of the Overseas Friends of BJP, led by its president, Dr. Adapa Prasad.

In his address to the delegation, which included prominent community leaders such as Sikhs of America Chairman Jesse Singh and President Kanwaljit Singh Soni, Rajnath Singh emphasized the transformative changes taking place in India. Quoting U.S. Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, Singh said, “If you want to see the future, come to India; if you want to feel the future, come to India; and if you want to work for the future, come to India.” This statement underscored the optimism and confidence that the Indian government has in the country’s trajectory toward becoming a global powerhouse.

Singh urged the Indian diaspora to act as ambassadors for India, encouraging them to enhance the country’s global perception. Dr. Adapa Prasad, after meeting with Singh, praised him as a leader who deeply values grassroots workers and understands the importance of the diaspora in strengthening the ties between India and the U.S. Prasad noted that their discussion focused on the vital role the diaspora plays in fostering strong people-to-people connections between the two nations.
