The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially released the full schedule for the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, marking a significant milestone for the tournament’s history with its first-ever expansion to 12 teams. The tournament will take place in England from June 12 to July 5, 2026, featuring 33 matches across seven iconic venues. This extended format aims to elevate the global profile of women’s cricket, bringing together top-tier teams for nearly a month of high-octane action.

India’s campaign will begin with a blockbuster clash against Pakistan on June 14 at Edgbaston, a match that is expected to draw massive global attention due to the fierce sporting rivalry between the two nations. India is placed in Group A, which also includes defending champions Australia, South Africa, and two yet-to-be-decided qualifying teams.

The team’s schedule features a match against a qualifier at Headingley on June 17, followed by a face-off with South Africa at Old Trafford on June 21. India will play another qualifier on June 25, also at Old Trafford, before concluding their group-stage fixtures against Australia on June 28 at the prestigious Lord’s Cricket Ground.

The tournament will be played across Edgbaston, Headingley, Old Trafford, The Oval, Hampshire Bowl, Bristol County Ground, and Lord’s, with the semi-finals scheduled for June 30 and July 2, culminating in the final on July 5 at Lord’s.

ICC Tournament Director Beth Barrett-Wild highlighted the tournament’s transformative potential for women’s cricket, describing it as a historic opportunity to showcase talent and inspire new fans. England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt echoed similar sentiments, expressing excitement about playing a global event at home.

This expanded format and world-class hosting signal a promising leap forward in the visibility and stature of women’s cricket globally, as anticipation builds for this landmark edition of the T20 World Cup.
