Kolkata | July 10, 2026: The Indian Coast Guard Region (North East) concluded a two-day District/Station Commanders’ and Works Conference at its Regional Headquarters in Kolkata on July 9–10, 2026, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening maritime security, operational readiness, and infrastructure development along India’s eastern coastline.

The conference was chaired by the Commander, Coast Guard Region (North East) and brought together District and Station Commanders, senior officers, and key stakeholders to review operational performance and chart the future course for enhancing coastal and maritime security.

Focus on Operational Preparedness

The conference featured comprehensive discussions on several critical aspects of Coast Guard operations, including:
