Kolkata, May 3, 2026 — A potentially serious fire incident involving a moving SUV near the Burdwan Road petrol pump was swiftly contained, thanks to the prompt action of the OD Kolkata Fire Brigade.
The vehicle reportedly caught fire while in motion, prompting the driver to immediately pull over and exit safely. An on-duty guard at a nearby Ordnance Guard Post quickly alerted the Ordnance Depot Kolkata Fire Brigade, enabling a rapid response.
