BOBBY CHAKRABORTY RECRUITS STRONG SOLDIERS FROM ORCHIDS THE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL-NEWTOWN, THROUGH AAC 402
It was actor/activist/teacher of method acting Bobby Chakraborty’s 402nd Anti Addiction Campaign, at Orchids The International School-Newtown, on August 2nd.
This particular session, of his globally acclaimed, free of cost awareness program for the youth, against addiction and harmful popular trends, was perfectly organized by The Principal Sharmili Shah, The Coordinator Sonia Paul, along with all the respected teachers.
Super enthusiastic students from the 6th to 10th grade participated in this reformative adda session, which magically turned out to be an emotional roller coaster ride of tears, laughter, confessions, promises and awakening.
The official photographer was Rachit Kheria a super active and well mannered volunteer from the 6th grade.
‘Bobbydada’ as he likes himself to be called, stated how important it is for the youth, who are the future of our society, to grow up with the right and healthy choices of life in their formative years. He stated with various examples of shocking recent incidents to fatal incidents from his own family, of how a person’s life reaches a point of no-return, if he/she makes wrong choices and keeps the wrong company in these growing up years.
He covered various pertinent topics starting with smoking, alcoholism and smart phone addiction to harmful trends of inappropriate behavior online, online gambling through games and use of rampant abusive language.
With the powerful formula of HCF(health-career-family) and the magical mantra of ‘I AM THE KING OF MY MIND’, Bobbydada equipped his soldiers to fight the evils of the society, which might create a mess with their lives, in these crucial years of adolescence.
The ‘1st soldier’ selected was Shuvangi, but this AAC saw something special! There were two ‘trendsetters’ in this adda instead of the usual one. The first ‘trendsetter’ was Anisha, who led the way for other soldiers to join Bobbydada’s army and the second ‘trendsetter’ was Rudra, who led the way for everyone to touch Bobbydada’s feet, a rich Indian culture , through which we show our respect to the elders, which we are forgetting somehow!
The surprise contest at the end had Shuvangi, Ayush and Srinjoy as the winners, who along with Rachit, were given special prizes, tshirts and community service certificates by Bobbydada.
A pleasant chaos ensued at the end of the session, after The Principal Sharmili Shah’s powerful concluding speech, with soldiers surrounding their Bobbydada for a hug, touching his feet, clicking a selfie and getting his autograph anywhere possible. Soldier Sara went one step ahead, to get a hundred rupee note autographed, which she had earned by selling her 1st artwork.
