Saudi Arabia Has Warned Its Residents In Pakistan

The security warning in Islamabad was upgraded to its highest level on December 26, and the Saudi Arabian embassy in Pakistan advised its people to take precautions.
In case of emergency, it added, get in touch with the Karachi embassy or general consulate.
Saudi Arabia made its announcement at the same time that Australia, the United States, and the United Kingdom all issued travel advisories for Pakistan.
US embassy’s alert regarding the potential terror threat
The Marriott Hotel in Islamabad may pose a terror threat to US people, according to the US embassy in Pakistan, which also forbade American personnel from entering the five-star establishment.
The US embassy issued a security notice after receiving information that unknown individuals are possibly preparing to assault Americans at the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad sometime during the holidays. The warning forbade its American employees from going to the well-known hotel over the holidays.
Additionally, the US mission advised against any unnecessary travel to Islamabad over the holidays.
A suicide explosion in a residential part of the capital two days prior to the embassy’s instruction left one police officer dead and 10 others injured. When authorities stopped a taxi during a patrol to inspect it, there was an explosion. The authorities claim that an explosives-carrying passenger in the back seat blew up the car.
Australian travel advisory
Due to Pakistan’s unstable security situation, the Australian high commission in Islamabad has likewise issued a travel notice and advised against traveling there.
According to a statement, the US government has informed its citizens that there may be information on unidentified individuals preparing an attack against the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad over the holidays. Additionally, it stated that public events are no longer permitted and that security measures have been tightened.
UK issues a travel warning
British citizens were also discouraged from traveling to Pakistan by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO). The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Province’s districts of Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurram, North Waziristan, and South Waziristan have all been recommended against travel by the FCDO.
Additionally, it forbade British citizens from visiting the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa districts of Charsadda, Kohat, Tank, Bannu, Lakki, Dera Ismail Khan, Swat, Buner, Lower Dir, and Peshawar.
Marriott hotel attack in 2008
On September 20, 2008, a dumper truck packed with explosives exploded in front of the Marriott hotel in Islamabad’s red zone, killing at least 54 people and injuring many more.
