Patna Coaching Centre Row Deepens as Gyan Bindu Director Alleges Jail Murder Plot

News Mania Desk/ Piyal Chatterjee/ 16th June 2026

The controversy surrounding the recent violence linked to a prominent coaching institute in Patna took a dramatic turn after Roshan Anand, director of Gyan Bindu Academy, alleged that there had been a conspiracy to kill him while he was lodged in jail.

Speaking to reporters after securing bail in connection with the case, Anand claimed that certain individuals had plotted to eliminate him inside prison. Without presenting evidence publicly, he alleged that people associated with educator Faisal Khan, widely known as Khan Sir, were behind the purported plan. Anand maintained that he survived because of the vigilance of prison authorities and the support he received while in custody.

The allegations emerged against the backdrop of an ongoing investigation into violence that erupted outside Khan Sir’s coaching institute in Patna earlier this month. The incident reportedly involved vandalism and stone-pelting, prompting police to register cases and arrest several individuals, including Anand. He has consistently denied any involvement in the unrest and described the accusations against him as baseless.

Adding another layer to the controversy is the death of Anand’s younger brother, Prince Yadav, in Nepal under circumstances that remain unclear. Yadav was found dead at a hotel in Biratnagar, following which Nepalese authorities launched an investigation. Several individuals have reportedly been detained for questioning, while officials await the results of a post-mortem examination to establish the cause of death.

Anand said he intended to pursue justice in his brother’s case and vowed to bring the facts surrounding the incident to light. Meanwhile, police investigations into the Patna coaching centre violence continue, with authorities also probing allegations related to the use of firearms during the confrontation.

An FIR has reportedly been registered against Khan Sir and two of his private security personnel in connection with the broader dispute. Khan Sir has denied any wrongdoing and expressed confidence that the legal process will determine the truth behind the allegations. As investigations proceed on multiple fronts, the case continues to attract widespread public attention across Bihar.
